Privacy
Your answers never leave your device. There is no database of responses, because we never receive any.
What happens when you take an assessment
The questions are part of the page your browser already downloaded. When you answer them, the responses are held in your browser's memory, scored there, and used to render your result. No request is made to us at any point in that process.
Closing the tab discards everything. That is why results cannot be recovered afterwards. Not a limitation we work around, but the whole design.
Why it works this way
Responses about depression, trauma or self-harm are special category data under Article 9 of the UK and EU GDPR, and comparable regimes elsewhere. Holding them means consent machinery, retention policies, breach obligations and a permanent risk of exposure.
Not holding them removes every one of those at once, and costs you nothing. Any site that asks you to create an account to see mental health results has made the opposite trade, on your behalf.
What we do collect
- No cookies are set by us. No advertising or analytics cookies are set at all.
- No account, email or name is ever requested.
- Standard server logs may record page requests and approximate location for operational and security purposes. These contain no assessment data and cannot be linked to any result.
- Google Fonts is currently used for typography, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when loading a page. We intend to self-host these to remove that request entirely.
- Donations are processed by PayPal under their own privacy policy. We never see payment details, and donating is not connected to any assessment or result.
Your rights
Rights of access, erasure and portability apply to data a service holds about you. We hold no assessment data about anyone, so there is nothing to request, export or delete. A request would return nothing because nothing exists.

Children
These assessments were validated on adults and are intended for people aged 18 and over. Several would be actively misleading if completed by a child, since adolescent norms differ substantially from adult ones.
Changes
If this policy ever changes materially, in particular if any form of tracking or storage were introduced, it will be stated plainly on this page and on the home page, not buried in an update. Last reviewed July 2026.
